Only the German version of this privacy policy (Datenschutzerklärung) is legally binding. This English version is provided for convenience only.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). Vercel processes technically necessary server log data (e.g. IP address, time of access, page requested) to deliver the site and ensure system security. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable operation).

3. Contact form

If you use the contact form, the data you enter (name, email address, message) is used solely to process your inquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measure) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries).

Submission is handled by a serverless function that forwards your inquiry by email via Resend (Resend Inc., USA) to my inbox. Your data is never stored in a database or log file — the inquiry exists only as an email in my inbox.

Since Resend is a US provider, this involves a transfer of data to a third country, based on EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) between myself and Resend.

4. Web analytics

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which collects only aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (e.g. page views, approximate origin, device type) without cookies and without building individual user profiles. No consent under § 25 TTDSG is required since no tracking cookie is set. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Contact inquiries are not stored server-side. The forwarded email remains in my personal mailbox, subject to its usual retention rules.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection (Art. 21 GDPR), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

8. SSL/TLS encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption (provided automatically by Vercel). You can recognize an encrypted connection by the https:// prefix in your browser’s address bar.
